Reach the world faster from Woods County.

Woods County puts your operation at the geographic center of the U.S. and at the heart of a multimodal logistical network allowing rapid transcontinental transit and global reach. Network assets include:

U.S. HIGHWAY

Woods County adds speed in every direction with the east-west U.S. Route 64, a 2,300-mile route stretching from Arizona to North Carolina, and the north-south U.S. Route 281, which runs from North Dakota at the Canada border down to Brownsville, Texas, at the Mexican border.

BNSF CLASS I RAIL

At the BNSF-certified Avard Regional Industrial Rail Park, onsite rail connections link industry to North America’s largest freight rail network, extending reach from coast to coast, continent to continent. BNSF provides blanket rail service to over half the nation; 32,500 route miles connect business and industry in 28 states and 3 Canadian provinces. BNSF also connects Alva industry to domestic and global shipping at the Tulsa Port.

TULSA PORT (formerly Port of Catoosa)

“Oklahoma’s Seacoast” provides access to the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, extending from Tulsa to the deep water ports of New Orleans and offering a variety of shipping options including break bulk, dry bulk, grain, and heavy cargo.

AIR

Aviation was established early in Alva; the city’s central location made it a favored stopover for refueling, history now documented in the inviting museum housed in the terminal of Alva’s municipal airport. Today, fliers can go everywhere with ease from Alva and Woods County through municipal facilities and a choice of three leading international airports within a 3-hour radius.

  • Alva Municipal Airport. This city-owned public-use airport provides fliers with low fuel prices, service seven days a week, and two runways including a concrete runway 4,999 feet long. Adjacent available industrial acreage makes the airport an asset for manufacturing as well as convenient executive travel.
  • Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. The largest and busiest airport in Kansas is less than 2 hours from Alva, offering service by 7 major carriers to 13 non-stop destinations.
  • Will Rogers World Airport. Just 2.5 hours away in Oklahoma City, WRWA is served by 7 major carriers offering non-stop service to dozens of U.S. cities. Oklahoma’s busiest airport, WRWA is currently implementing a terminal expansion to include a new concourse featuring 4 new gates.
  • Tulsa International Airport: Just 3 hours away, the Tulsa Airport offers non-stop service to 16 destinations and works toward expanding its service with the support of more than 90 regional and national organizations that have pledged to fly Tulsa.
